1 Going for a walk or a run
The Art Park is a beautifully landscaped area where you can enjoy a leisurely walk or have a relaxing picnic. It often hosts outdoor events, exhibitions, and performances, providing a vibrant atmosphere.

Whether you’re walking or jogging, I think we can all agree that the view of Victoria Harbour is simply stunning. I’d strongly recommend going for an afternoon stroll or jog, seeing as you can enjoy a beautiful sunset view at much cooler temperatures.
2 Have a Picnic
Another popular activity is to have picnics. A lot of people bring in their tents and picnic mats and spend the afternoon and night here.
The best part is, picnics don’t have to be limited to the afternoon. I’ve had dinner with my family on the grass a few times and we’ve loved it.
There’s plenty of lush greenery around to set up your picnic spot. If you’ve got a dog, feel free to bring it along as the park is very dog-friendly.
If you forgot to pack your food, no worries! You can grab a bite from the food truck.
3 Visit the M+ Museum
The West Kowloon Cultural District is home to a couple of museums: The M+ Museum and the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
The M+ Museum is a world-class institution dedicated to showcasing a diverse range of contemporary visual culture, including art, design, architecture, and moving images. It features an extensive collection of artworks from local and international artists, with a particular emphasis on Asian talent.
Designed by Herzog & de Meuron, the museum serves as a multidimensional cultural hub with exhibition spaces, a learning center, a research center, and a multimedia library.
4 Enjoy the Sunset
As the sun begins to set, it casts a beautiful orange glow over the city.
On a clear day, you’ll also get a beautiful view of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island, all with an orange tinge.
Buildings like the IFC and the Bank of China building in Central act as giant mirrors, reflecting the sunset. Same goes for the Central Plaza building in Wan Chai.
For a birdseye view of the garden and walking path, walk up to the 2nd level of the park.
5 Enjoy the Daily Hong Kong Light Show
As the sky begins to turn dark, Hong Kong comes to life. The entire Hong Kong Island begins to light up with a spectrum of colours.
At 8 pm every night, the Symphony of Lights laser show takes place, with the Hong Kong skyline lighting up with lights, lasers, and LED screens.
The ICC and M+ screen also light up.

How to Go to West Kowloon Cultural District
The West Kowloon Cultural District, nestled along the iconic Victoria Harbour in Hong Kong, is a vibrant and ambitious cultural hub that allows you to do a range of activities. The best way to get to the West Kowloon Cultural District is by MTR and then either walking or taking the shuttle bus. There are two options to choose from depending on which MTR station is more convenient for you: Austin Station (free shuttle bus to WKCD available) – This is on the Ma On Shan line and might be more suitable for those travelling from the New Territories. What’s the best MTR exit to get to the West Kowloon Cultural District?
